Ghost in the Shell
A cyberpunk legend brought to big screen, and i had the privilege to work with Territory studio, who were responsible for vast majority of this blockbuster’s visual language and augmented reality assets.
The futuristic city is filled with a vast array of advertising “solograms” - solid holograms. The technical challenge was in the fact that it was not easy to correctly export our working files in a way that would be useable by other studios - and thus i was one of the people responsible for ensuring pipeline compliance, participating in the baking and conversion process between multiple software packages and studio ingest/deliveries.
Additionally i was responsible for creating some of the 3D assets for the movie, and doing compositing shots for both the movie and its cinematic trailer.
Roles: 3D Tracker, 3D Artist, Junior Compositor, Production assistant, Pipeline Compliance
Done together with: Territory Studio
One of the shots for which I did 3D tracking, prep work and compositing, as well as creating some assets (animated road markings)
A shot from the trailer that didn't unfortunately make it to the movie. I handled 3D tracking, compositing and style compliance
I worked to create a large amount of animated road signage assets, such as the arrows in this shot
I helped create assets for the hotel lobby, such as the aquariums on the sides and the logo
I worked together with other compositors to help develop visual look for the lie detector AR device
